Job summary

PeopleStrong in Oman is seeking an experienced EHS Professional to lead safety management across projects. You will develop HIRA, draft project-specific EHS plans and investigate incidents to prevent recurrence. Responsible for site audits, training, PPE quality, and ensuring legal/commercial compliance.

The role requires 5–7 years in EHS, a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, and the ability to promote a strong safety culture on site.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of EHS domains including HIRA, EHS plans and compliance.
• Preparing Hazards Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA).
• Preparing Project specific EHS Plans.
• Investigating all serious incidents and initiating corrective and preventive actions at sites; analyze incident trends and proactive measures.
• Conducting internal audits and identifying non-conformities with corrective actions.
• Reviewing and monitoring EHS performance of sites and compliance with legal requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with contractual conditions and fulfilling customer requirements.
• Identifying training needs and designing/ delivering training for staff, subcontractors, workers, visitors; develop modules.
• Ensuring PPE quality and adequate availability at sites.
• Knowledge of conducting regular/ periodic inspections.
• Promoting EHS culture through campaigns and competitions.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:Knowledge of EHS in term of-

• Preparation of Hazards Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA).
• Preparing Project specific EHS Plans.
• Investigating all serious incidents & initiate necessary corrective & preventive actions at sites and Analyse incident trends & initiate necessary Proactive measures at Project sites.
• Conducting Internal audit and identify Non - conformities and follow up for corrective action
• Review and monitoring EHS performance of sites including compliance to legal requirements
• Complying with contractual conditions & fulfilling customer requirements
• Identifying the training need, designing and imparting training for Staff, subcontractor, workmen, visitors and develop module
