Job description

Central Bank of Oman is seeking to recruit competent, committed, self-motivated and enthusiastic Omani candidate to work as Associate Payment System Specialist.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist and support in maintenance and monitoring of OmanNet, Payment Gateway/Payment Integrator and Settlement & Dispute Management System (Back office)
  • Assist the on boarding, testing and certification process for newer entities and ongoing certifications for new products among the existing entities
  • Provide adequate support in Incident management and reporting and presenting audit / log reports
  • Address day to day issues raised by local banks, PSPs and GCCNET switches.
  • Support of OmanNet during business and after business hours to ensure nil / minimal disruption in the running operations
  • Ensure smooth operations of the Settlement and Dispute Management systems and support banks in case of queries
  • Deliver clear, accurate, and timely reports to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors and partners, banks, PSPs, merchants, technology providers
  • Coordination with internal technical teams, IT teams, security teams, member banks, PSPs and GCCNET switches for different support activities.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of card payment ecosystems (issuance, acquiring, tokenization, directory servers, certifications).
  • Working knowledge of EMV standards, PCI DSS, ISO 8583), mobile payments, NFC, and payment gateways.
  • Desirable to have experience in ACI Base24-eps, and Settlement & Dispute systems
  • Experience in writing testing scripts and executing testing & certification.
  • Strategic thinking and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong project management and financial analysis abilities.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's in information technology/ information systems/business administration/E-Business Management

2 years of experience in card schemes, banks, or payment service providers (PSPs) managing card products.
