We’re recruiting a ‘General Manager - Tourism Development’ for one of our clients based in Oman.

About Our Client:

Our client is a prominent tourism and infrastructure company based in Oman, dedicated to showcasing the country’s rich heritage, culture, and natural beauty. With a strong focus on promoting sustainable tourism and preserving historical landmarks, the company plays a vital role in developing iconic destinations and enhancing visitor experiences. Their projects span tourism development, heritage preservation, and infrastructure enhancement, all aligned with Oman’s national vision for economic growth and cultural pride.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement business strategies to achieve the company’s goals and objectives
  2. Oversee daily operations of the tourism application, ensuring smooth functionality and an exceptional user experience
  3. Monitor and analyze the performance of the application, implementing improvements as needed
  4. Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to ensure profitability and cost efficiency
  5. Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase user acquisition and engagement
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including tourism boards, local businesses, and strategic partners
  7. Prepare and present regular reports on the application’s performance, market trends, and business metrics to senior management
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Tourism Management, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in a senior management role within the tourism or technology industry
  3. Strong understanding of the tourism market in Oman
  4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  5. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans
  6. Proficient in analyzing data and making data-driven decisions
