Job purpose

Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and efficient cloud solutions to meet organizational needs. Ensure optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and compliance through automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and advanced cloud practices. Conduct cloud migrations, monitor environments, resolve technical issues, and adopt emerging technologies. Drive digital transformation, enhance cloud infrastructure, and ensure robust security.

The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, policies, guidelines, standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani government regulations, other legal requirements, and best international practices aligned with national objectives.

Main tasks and responsibilities

1. Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures.
2. Manage cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration using automation tools.
3. Optimize cloud resource performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
4. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates.
5. Conduct cloud migrations, including data, applications, and workloads.
6. Ensure cloud environment security, including IAM, encryption, and compliance standards.
7. Monitor cloud infrastructure using tools like Azure or AWS platforms.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in cloud environments.
9. Implement and manage cloud-based deployments.
10. Evaluate and adopt emerging cloud technologies and solutions.

Education requirement

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or related disciplines.

Language

Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required). Arabic - native (desirable).

Background and experience

• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Microsoft Azure Associate Certification.

• Strong experience with cloud security, e.g., Identity and Access Management (IAM), security best practices, and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with QA/QC processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
