Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group coaching sessions focused on academic skills such as study strategies, time management, organization, and goal setting.
- Monitor students' academic progress and collaborate with faculty and support staff to address challenges.
- Identify and support at-risk students with tailored coaching plans and interventions.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress, and outcomes.
- Assist students in navigating academic resources, including tutoring, advising, and counseling services.
- Develop and deliver workshops or seminars on academic success topics.
- Encourage student accountability and self-advocacy.
- Stay informed on current best practices in academic coaching and student development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or related field (Masters preferred).
- Experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably in academic advising, coaching, or counseling.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for scheduling, data tracking, and communication.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of learning theories, motivational strategies, and educational technologies.
- Experience with diverse student populations, including first-generation college students or students with learning challenges.
