The Investment Senior Analyst contributes to the full investment lifecycle by supporting screening, feasibility assessments, financial modeling, due diligence coordination, and documentation preparation. The role plays a key part in translating strategic investment ideas into data-driven analyses and actionable insights. Working closely with Investment Associates and Managers, the Senior Analyst engages in early-stage evaluation, supports investment case development, and ensures timely and accurate inputs for stage-gate decisions. The Senior Analyst also contributes to post-investment performance tracking and reporting in collaboration with the Asset Management function.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis of potential investment opportunities, including valuation, risk assessment, and financial performance trends.
- Analyze financial statements, market data, and economic conditions to assess the viability of investments.
- Develop and modify financial models to project investment returns and assess risk exposure.
- Assist in the preparation of investment proposals, reports, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and economic developments relevant to OFC's investment focus.
- Conduct sector research and provide insights into investment opportunities in the food, agribusiness, and related industries.
- Conduct deep-dive sector and company research, summarizing key findings for the investment team.
- Benchmark regional and international transactions and maintain comparable deal databases.
- Identify commercial dynamics and market entry considerations across the food value chain.
Stage-Gate Preparation & Feasibility Support
- Prepare preliminary feasibility inputs, business case outlines, and valuation outputs.
- Support the preparation of documentation and financial analysis across all stage-gate checkpoints, from initial screening (SG-1) to feasibility and execution readiness (SG-3/SG-4).
- Assist in compiling key inputs for the Project Identification Note (PIN), investment summaries, and Final Investment Proposal (FIP), ensuring data consistency and alignment with investment guidelines.
- Validate assumptions using multiple sources, including market data, industry benchmarks, financial disclosures, and third-party research.
- Support investment due diligence by evaluating company financials, legal documentation, and operational risks.
- Assist in the assessment of investment funding strategies and financing options.
- Maintain due diligence trackers and data room organization for active transactions.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including investment advisors, consultants, and government bodies, to gather insights and validate investment hypotheses.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare investment research reports, financial summaries, and risk assessments for internal decision-making.
- Ensure timely updates of investment performance tracking, industry reports, and financial models.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity and accuracy in all investment-related documentation.
Other Duties
- Undertake any additional responsibilities or strategic assignments as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA, CFA, or other relevant professional qualifications (preferred but not required).
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in investment analysis, financial modeling, or market research.
- Exposure to private equity, investment banking, or corporate finance is an advantage.
