Job description

Role Objective:

To maintain the accreditations for Halal and management system certifications, including performing regular client visits and conducting certification audits for clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Approve, train, and manage Halal auditing & Islamic Experts on the requirements of Halal Standards.
  2. Support the extension of the scope of both Halal and management system certifications and maintain their accreditation requirements.
  3. Prepare and execute internal audits, Management Review Meetings (MRM), Impartiality Committee meetings, Islamic Expert Committee meetings, Halal Decision Committee meetings, and maintain records of these activities.
  4. Coordinate with certified clients regarding export requirements in different countries and ensure all product certification approvals and requirements are addressed.
  5. Update portals of international regulatory bodies for AIS approvals and client export requirements.
  6. Engage in business development for management system / Halal certifications & trainings.
  7. Optimize certification approval processes, audit report reviews, and certification decisions to reduce cycle time.
  8. Work closely with the Certification and Training team to initiate, support, and develop new capabilities, products, and services, including new training courses.
  9. Maintain appropriate credentials and pursue continued professional training/certifications as needed.
  10. Assist in preparing presentations and delivering training related to Halal and other management systems.
Qualifications:
  • UG or PG university degree in any field and qualified lead auditor in related certification schemes.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a certification body in a similar role.
  • Experience in facing accreditation audits for Halal or management systems.
  • Possess lead auditor certifications, preferably in ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.
  • Relevant training on GSO 2055-2, ISO/IEC 17065.
  • GCC experience is an added advantage.
