Job summary

talentarabia in Oman seeks an experienced E&I Shift In-Charge to support electrical and instrumentation maintenance operations. The role is reserved for Omani nationals with 4–8 years of experience and a Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.

The incumbent will lead shift teams, coordinate maintenance across heavy industry settings, and troubleshoot PLC/SCADA systems and related equipment, ensuring adherence to HSE procedures and PTW requirements.

Qualifications

Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering.
4–8 years of relevant professional experience.
Omani national (must be).
Experience in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, industrial drives, substations, and field instrumentation.
Familiarity with LIT, FIT, PIT transmitters and fire and gas detection systems.
Strong understanding of HSE procedures, PTW, toolbox talks, and industrial safety practices.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee electrical and instrumentation maintenance during shifts.
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
Troubleshoot electrical systems and field instruments.
Support PLCs, SCADA, industrial drives, and substations fault diagnosis.
Work with transmitters and fire/gas detectors.
Support Profibus, Profinet, and Modbus protocols.
Coordinate maintenance of conveyors and bulk handling systems where applicable.
Lead shift teams and ensure safe task execution.
Adhere to HSE procedures, PTW, toolbox talks, and safety practices.
