A’soud Global School (AGS), Salalah, Oman, is seeking a dedicated Secondary English Teacher to deliver English Language, English Literature, and Global Perspectives to Key Stage 3 & 4. Non-native speaker applications are welcomed, provided qualifications and proficiency meet requirements.

Responsibilities include planning engaging lessons, assessing students, and reporting progress to parents, while fostering critical thinking and inquiry-based learning in a safe, inclusive classroom.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English and Global Perspectives lessons aligned with the Cambridge / international curriculum.
• Teach grammar, literature, comprehension, writing skills, and global awareness topics.
• Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials tailored to diverse student needs.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting regularly to parents.
• Foster critical thinking, debate, research, and inquiry-based learning.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and personal growth.
• Participate in school events, departmental meetings, CPD sessions, and extracurricular activities.
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and disciplined learning atmosphere.
