Mandarin Oriental Muscat is seeking a Duty Technician (Plumber/Fitter) to join our Engineering team on site, full-time. You will be responsible for the daily operation of the engineering department and for maintaining safe, efficient plant and services.

• Maintain proper and safe condition of all Plant, Plant Rooms, Equipment and Work areas.
• Comply with all Fire, Life, Health, and Safety Standards.
• To be conversant with the Hotel Emergency Procedures.
• Perform Emergency Response Team duties as required.
• Personal presentation will be clean, neat, and tidy always. Be courteous, professional, and service orientated when dealing with Guest, Patrons, and Fellow Staff Members.
• Undertake specific duties and projects when assigned.
• Activity support Training Programs.
• To carry out work in accordance with The Hotel Planned Maintenance Program.
• Familiarize himself with the technical details of all Plant and Services relating to the Hotel.
• Work shifts as designated.
• Maintain, repair, check and record equipment relating to: Guest Facilities Plant Rooms, Air Conditioning Equipment, Refrigeration Equipment, Fire, Life, Health, and Safety, Electrical and Mechanical Services, Plumbing and Heating, Entertainment Equipment, Kitchens, Lighting, Furniture, Fittings and General Equipment.

Scope of Position

The Duty Technician is responsible for the daily operation of the engineering department and for ensuring that the department is operated in the safest and most efficient manner.

The Duty Technician will assume the responsibilities of the Duty Engineer during his absence.

Departmental

Maintain proper and safe condition of all Plant, Plant Rooms, Equipment and Work areas.

Comply with all Fire, Life, Health, and Safety Standards.
