Key Responsibilities

Design and implement cost-effective drilling programs for onshore/offshore wells

Conduct well engineering calculations (torque/drag, hydraulics, casing design)

Monitor daily drilling operations and troubleshoot technical issues

Prepare AFE estimates and optimize drilling budgets

Ensure compliance with Oman oil & gas regulations and HSE standards

Analyze drilling data to improve performance and reduce NPT

Coordinate with geologists, contractors, and field teams

Evaluate and recommend new drilling technologies

️ Must-Have Skills

Bachelor's in Petroleum/Mechanical Engineering

5+ years in drilling engineering (Oman/GCC experience preferred)

Expertise In

  • Well planning software: WellPlan, Petrel, Drillbench
  • Directional drilling: Gyro/MWD/LWD interpretation
  • Casing design: StressCheck or similar Strong knowledge of:
  • HPHT drilling
  • Well control procedures (IWCF certified preferred)
  • Drilling fluids optimization
