Job Title: Desktop Technical Support Engineer
We have an urgent requirement for a Desktop Technical Support Engineer for our banking client in Oman.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy Windows OS images.
- Support the replacement of old desktops and TFT monitors, and troubleshoot hardware issues on-site.
- Record IT assets inventory for reconciliation and coordinate with IT stakeholders.
- Monitor the health of all workstations at BCP sites (Old Head Office Ruwi and Wadi Kabir).
- Support business users during DR drills and Business Continuity activities.
- Recover replaced equipment to the IT store and provide reports on IT asset status.
- Replace faulty storage devices, rebuild Windows OS, install software and drivers.
- Replace faulty desktops, monitors, and IP phones.
- Rearrange cables and connect peripherals.
- Upgrade desktop RAM and configure user profiles.
- Ensure all peripherals are functioning and perform user testing.
- Coordinate with IT teams on machine reporting status and resolve issues.
- Provide technical support and communicate progress effectively.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT field.
- Experience with deploying Windows OS images.
- Hands-on troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Team player with effective communication skills in English.
- Omani driving license is required.
- Omani resource.
Desirable Skills and Certifications:
- Additional degrees or certifications are advantageous.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, planning, and time management skills.
