Job Description
- Loading and Unloading Goods:
- Pick up packages from warehouses, distribution centers, or retail locations.
- Properly load items into the vehicle to ensure safe transport.
- Unload goods at the destination, ensuring all items are delivered.
- Route Planning and Navigation:
- Plan the most efficient route to ensure timely delivery.
- Navigate using GPS or traditional maps to find delivery locations.
- Adapt to changing road conditions or traffic situations.
- Customer Interaction:
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details.
- Ensure customers sign for or acknowledge receipt of goods.
- Address customer inquiries or concerns in a professional manner.
- Complete delivery paperwork, including receipts, delivery confirmations, or invoices.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of delivered goods and any returns or discrepancies.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Perform routine checks on the delivery vehicle, including fuel levels, tire pressure, and cleanliness.
- Report any vehicle issues or required maintenance to the supervisor.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow traffic laws and safety regulations during transport.
- Maintain safe delivery practices to avoid accidents or damage to goods.
- Ensure that deliveries comply with company policies and legal standards.
- Physical Handling:
- Lift and carry packages, often requiring physical strength.
- Ensure that fragile or heavy items are handled properly.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Driver's License: Should be valid GCC License.
