Job summary

Mogi I/O in Masqaţ, Oman is seeking an experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeon - Reconstructive Surgery to lead patient evaluation, plan complex procedures, and deliver high-quality postoperative care within a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate holds an MD or equivalent, substantial post-specialization experience, and strong surgical judgment.

You will collaborate with anesthesia, nursing, and other specialists to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD/DNB/Board certification or equivalent recognised qualification in Plastic Surgery.
• Several years of post-specialization experience required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specialist consultations and comprehensive clinical assessments.
• Review medical histories and diagnostic findings to determine treatment pathways.
• Develop detailed surgical plans and discuss options with patients.
• Explain risks, recovery requirements, and follow-up expectations.
• Perform plastic and reconstructive procedures within the specialist scope of practice.
• Coordinate pre-operative investigations and ensure patient readiness for surgery.
• Provide pre-operative instructions and manage postoperative care and recovery.
• Collaborate with anesthesia, nursing and operating theatre teams during procedures.
• Monitor patient progress through follow-up consultations and manage complications.
