Job summary

We are supporting a state-backed renewable energy company with the appointment of a Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of major renewable energy projects in Oman. You will manage site execution, coordinating with EPC contractors, consultants and internal teams to ensure work is delivered safely, on programme, and to required technical and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience on large-scale energy or infrastructure projects.
• Experience delivering solar, wind, or battery energy storage (BESS).
• Experience managing EPC contractors.
• Strong knowledge of HSE and quality requirements.
• Experience in complex multi-contractor project environments.
• Strong stakeholder and contractor management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction activities across large-scale renewable energy projects.
• Oversee EPC contractors and subcontractors throughout project execution.
• Monitor construction progress against agreed programmes, milestones and budgets.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved designs, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, commercial and technical teams.
• Manage interfaces between contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Lead regular site and construction progress meetings.
• Monitor contractor performance and address delays or delivery issues.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality and environmental requirements.
• Review construction methodologies, work plans and contractor submissions.
• Identify construction risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Support commissioning, testing and project handover activities.
• Provide regular construction progress reporting to senior management.
• Ensure effective management of site documentation, variations and technical queries.

The Role

The organisation is developing gigawatt-scale wind, solar and energy storage projects across Oman, the GCC and Africa. The Construction Manager will oversee site execution working closely with EPC contractors, consultants and internal project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the required technical and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage construction activities across large-scale renewable energy projects
• Oversee EPC contractors and subcontractors throughout project execution
