Job summary

NADIA Recruitment & Management Consultants seeks a senior executive to provide strategic and operational leadership over all Non-Life / Non-Medical underwriting functions, with full ownership of performance, pricing adequacy, and portfolio profitability.

The role drives reinsurance optimization, claims governance, risk management and governance, supporting the CEO/COO in profitable growth and long-term value creation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance, actuary science, risk management, finance or related field.
• ACII, FCII, FIA or equivalent professional qualifications strongly preferred.
• 15–20 years’ experience in the insurance industry with senior leadership exposure; executive/head-of-function experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement Non-Life/Non-Medical underwriting strategy (Motor, Property, Engineering, Marine, Liability, etc.).
• Own underwriting performance across non-life portfolios with profitability and capital objectives.
• Lead pricing frameworks, actuarial assumptions and technical rate adequacy.
• Oversee reinsurance strategy, negotiations and risk transfer arrangements.
• Ensure claims governance, reserving adequacy and large/complex claims management.
• Ensure enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance and governance.
• Lead and mentor underwriting, actuarial/pricing, reinsurance and technical claims teams.
• Collaborate with C-suite and business heads to drive profitable growth and transformation.
