Job summary

OOMCO seeks a Chief Internal Audit Officer (CIAO) to provide independent leadership of the internal audit function, ensuring enterprise-wide assurance on controls, risk management, governance and compliance. The role informs the Audit Committee and Executive Management with strategic insights on control effectiveness and remediation status.

The CIAO will design and oversee multi-year and annual audit plans, manage internal audit across business units, and lead investigations as required,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent is required.
• CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• 16 years of experience in Internal/External Audit, with 8+ years in senior leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading an Internal Audit function and reporting to Audit Committee.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a five-year Internal Audit strategic plan and annual audit plan for Audit Committee approval.
• Oversee end-to-end audit engagements and coordination with external auditors and regulators.
• Communicate audit results and recommendations to the Audit Committee and Executive Management.
• Drive continuous improvement, governance, risk management, and ethical standards across the organisation.
