Role Overview

As Chef De Cuisine, I will fully understand the vision of Six Senses to help people reconnect with themselves, others, and the world around them. Duties and Responsibilities

I will support the Executive Chef and be responsible for the efficient operation of the culinary department, including:

  1. Rejuvenating the culinary experience continually.
  2. Assessing menus and wine lists to ensure relevance and alignment with Six Senses practices.
  3. Establishing purchasing practices that meet nutrition and sustainability standards.
  4. Instilling a cost-focused philosophy through training and education.
  5. Ensuring compliance with legal, statutory, and financial requirements, including safety protocols, reporting systems, contractual obligations, and budget controls.
  6. Adhering strictly to LQA standards and guest feedback.
Qualifications

To succeed as Chef De Cuisine, I must possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience in a luxury hotel setting:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 5 years of kitchen experience in a full-service outlet or similar setting. A Diploma in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of broiler equipment, meat and fish cookery, proficient knife skills, and understanding of farm-to-table concepts.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or health/food handler card as per local regulations.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, with the ability to live in a remote location for extended periods and travel on single status.
