Job summary

A leading company in agricultural production is seeking an experienced Farm Butcher to plan and execute the slaughtering and butchering of farm meat products. The role requires adherence to halal guidelines, maintenance of hygiene protocols, and management of daily meat orders. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in butchery, be physically capable, and willing to undertake additional farm-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Min. 5 years experience in butchery or related field.
  • Age criteria: 25 to 55 years.

  • Plan and execute slaughter and butchering of farm meat products.
  • Maintain hygiene and equipment schedules.
  • Provide daily stock reports to Storekeeper.

Job description

Essential Duties: • Plan and execute slaughter and butchering of farm meat products.
• To manage daily orders of meat for distribution.

Other Duties &

Responsibilities

To carry out and ensure full halal guidelines are adhered to.

• To provide all products to the Laboratory for testing.
• To ensure maintenance and hygiene schedules for equipment are adhered to.
• To ensure all slaughter and processing areas are correctly cleaned as per company
protocols.

• To provide daily reports to Storekeeper of stocks processed, and daily consumable

items used.

To ensure all necessary inputs are requested from farm office as per standard delivery times – detail in processing handbook.

Note: This may not be a full-time butchery role. The selected candidate should be open to taking on additional farm-related tasks as assigned by the Farm Manager.

Minimum

Qualifications:

Age Criteria Min. 25 Yrs. to 55 Yrs.
Experience Min. 5 Yrs. to 35 Yrs.

Work Environment: The position requires you to work both inside and in outside conditions, throughout the year.
There is a physical aspect to the role requiring at times, lifting and other physical works. The
Company will provide the necessary protective equipment and clothing along with Company
policy document and procedures to ensure safe working environment.
