Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking a Global Mobility Specialist in Muscat to coordinate government services for expatriate staff and dependents. You will manage visa applications, renewals, and cancellations, and liaise with embassies, authorities, and MOHRE to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong Arabic and English communication, five years in a similar role, and a proactive approach to immigration updates, licenses, and safety alignment within the company.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role with government organizations and embassies.
  • Secondary education completed.
  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills.
  • Good influencing and networking skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written Arabic is a must.
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
  • Valid UAE driving license.

  • Ensure immigration compliance and provide timely updates on regulatory changes.
  • Coordinate licenses for company and joint venture entities.

  • Obtain visit, business, new employment visas / work permits for all expatriate employees, and dependents, if applicable
  • Monitor and renew expat employee and dependents’ residence permits
  • Facilitate and follow-up cancellation of visas for employees and dependents.
  • Facilitate complex medical and accompany employees and dependents to medical center, if required
  • Visit typing centers for the typing of labor contracts, medical forms, Emirates ID forms
  • Obtain Security Pass on behalf of expat employees, if required
  • Administer and application of quotas as required
  • Visit and Liaise with Embassies, Airport Immigration, Police department, labour office and any other government department as required
  • Coordinate, administer and business facilitation on day-to-day basis:
  • Review and ensure labour contacts are in compliance with government requirements
  • Administer MOHRE and Immigration portals on behalf of the company
  • Liaise with the government entities, Labour and Immigration offices to ensure immigration compliance
  • Liaise with government entities to confirm the most update information regarding immigration rules and regulations
  • Provide timely updates to the company (HR and GM) regarding any changes on labour, immigration rules and regulations
  • Administer company and joint venture companies’ licenses

  • Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities.

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.

  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
