Job summary

Trowers & Hamlins seeks an Associate for its International Projects, Energy and Infrastructure team in Oman. The role focuses on power and water projects, PPP, infrastructure development, and oil & gas work, with regional collaboration across the GCC.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years PQE, a common-law law degree, and strong drafting, negotiation, and client-relations skills. Travel within GCC required; office-based in Oman.

Qualifications

• 3-5 PQE lawyer with experience at a reputable firm.
• Excellent academic record with a law degree from a common law jurisdiction.
• Fluent Arabic and English – written and spoken.
• Willing to travel within the GCC.

Responsibilities

• Manage large and complex transactions under supervision of partners in Oman and the GCC.
• Reviewing and drafting bespoke contracts; analyze contractual positions.
• Build and develop client relationships; participate in business development and marketing initiatives.
