Job summary

Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle's Southport is seeking a Housekeeping Leader to supervise all housekeeping operations and drive service excellence. You will lead a diverse team, manage budgets, and coordinate with Engineering to ensure maintenance and safety across the hotel.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory housekeeping experience in hospitality, with a focus on training, cost control, and aligned brand standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality Management is advantageous.
• Possession of relevant housekeeping or hospitality certifications is highly preferred.
• At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in a housekeeping role within the hospitality industry, with supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping activities.
• Lead and delegate responsibilities to the team with sufficient authority/resources.
• Communicate vision and brand personality to the team and ensure integration in department practices.

Technical Expertise

1. 1.To ensure the upkeep and cleanliness of the whole Hotel including Public Area, Villas, Guestrooms, Back of the House areas including Employee Lockers, etc
2. 2.To assign responsibilities to subordinates, implementing multi-tasking principles and to check their performance periodically.
3. 3.To handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to the Executive Housekeeper.
4. 4.Work closely with Engineering to implement an effective preventative maintenance system
5. 5.Control consumption and maintain a cost-effective inventory of guest supplies, chemicals and amenities.
6. 6.Ensure all linen and uniforms are well maintained.
7. 7.Ensure all HK staff work in accordance with health and safety regulations.
8. 8.Plan and implement regular General Cleaning programs.
9. 9.Implement an effective energy conservation program within the departments and areas under your supervision in coordination with Engineering.
10. 10.Identify and plan FF&E and OE for replacement in the areas under your supervision.
11. 11.Coordinate daily room and public areas cleaning priorities.
12. 12.Conduct daily room checks.
13. 13.Ensure a strict room key control system is implemented.
14. 14.To fully support the Departmental Training Function in the Department assigned and undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.
