A global consulting and engineering leader is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to support decision-making and financial performance analysis in Oman. The ideal candidate will manage profit and loss responsibilities and ensure adherence to financial controls and reporting. Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential for this role.
Wood is looking to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager (Omani National) for our Oman Joint Venture. The role has dual reporting responsibilities to the regional Senior Finance Manager, and the Joint Venture General Manager. Business partnering is a key element of the role in providing finance and decision making support through building relationships and promoting close links with operational leadership. The business partner element of the role is to provide analysis, insight and views in respect of the financial performance of the business, be a trusted advisor and to add value that will assist in decision making.
The role carries profit and loss and working capital responsibility, and in certain cases, will also involve balance sheet responsibilities for the applicable business. The other main aspects of the role include governance, financial control, internal and external reporting, financial forecasting and cash collection. The role will include responsibility for working alongside our Finance Delivery Centre teams and wider Middle East finance team and therefore excellent team working skills and collaboration are essential elements to help contribute to business efficiency and wider process improvement. This role has responsibility for ensuring that all JV and Group requirements are adhered to and that any financial risks are understood and mitigated as appropriate.
