Job summary

Qjumpers in Hawke's Bay is seeking a full-time fixed-term Youth Pathways Coordinator within our Student Support Services team. This position provides parental leave cover from 2026-12-01 to 2027-06-04, supporting the success, wellbeing, retention, and achievement of young learners.

You will coordinate Youth Guarantee programmes, provide pastoral support, and work with students, academic staff, schools, whānau, and community partners to create positive educational pathways that enable learners to

Qualifications

Experience in administration, coordination, or learner support services.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of people.
Experience supporting young people to achieve successful outcomes.
Knowledge of Te Ao Māori and culturally responsive practices.
A relevant tertiary qualification.

Responsibilities

Coordinating Youth Guarantee programme delivery and learner support activities.
Monitoring student attendance, engagement, progress, and achievement.
Providing pastoral care and support to young learners.
Coordinating learner events, activities, and transition initiatives.
Building and maintaining relationships with schools, community organisations, and external stakeholders.
Managing enrolment, results, destination, and programme data.
Preparing reports and supporting compliance requirements.
Supporting literacy, numeracy, and learner development programmes.
Contributing to continuous improvement of services and systems.
