Job summary

Remuera Baptist Church in Auckland is seeking a part-time Youth Pastor to lead and nurture our intermediate and high-school ministry.

You will disciple youth, recruit and train volunteers, provide pastoral care, and oversee planning, safety, and events such as youth camps. This role offers flexible hours (12–20 per week) within a warm, multi-cultural faith community and opportunities to grow in ministry.

Qualifications

• Strong Christian faith and commitment to serving Jesus.
• Passion for evangelism and discipleship.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with youth/children is an advantage.
• Theological qualification or equivalent experience is beneficial but not essential.

About the role

Remuera Baptist Church is seeking a part-time (12 to 20 hours/week) Youth Pastor to join our growing congregation in Remuera, Auckland. In this key role, you will draw, disciple and develop intermediate and high-school aged youth to be Christ-like followers of Jesus as integral members of our faith community.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide leadership of our intermediate and high-school ministries.
• Build a volunteer team who will model, lead and empower youth to grow in their love and service for Christ.
• Provide pastoral care to youth.
• Provide good administration, planning and safety compliance.
• Plan and attend youth camps.

• A passion for evangelism and discipleship
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
