Job summary

Kaitaia Intermediate in Northland is seeking an enthusiastic Certificated teacher for a Year 7–8 Reo Rua classroom. The role focuses on growing confident learners, upholding Tikanga Māori and making a positive difference in every learner's journey.

The successful candidate will integrate Te Ao Māori, work in a collaborative team, and support whānau to partner in student development, wellbeing, and achievement across academic and social-emotional domains.

Responsibilities

• Teach Year 7–8 Reo Rua class with a focus on literacy, numeracy and te reo Māori.
• Contribute to Ako, Manaakitanga, Whānaungatanga and Moemoeā within the school.
• Work with whānau and colleagues to build positive, respectful relationships.
• Develop understanding and use of Te Reo Māori with support from the school.
