Job summary

Ficino School in Auckland invites applications for a Certificated teacher to join our well-respected primary and intermediate team. We seek a warm-hearted educator with up to two years' experience for Year One, in a supportive co-teaching role with an experienced colleague.

We balance Cambridge Curriculum delivery with a strong arts and physical education programme, and place mindfulness and a growth mindset at the heart of our teaching.

Ficino School is a well-respected independent primary and intermediate school for boys and girls. We have a strong values-based approach to education, with traditional assemblies and weekly Philosophy classes. We implement the Cambridge Curriculum for our core subjects, balancing academic excellence with a rich arts and physical education programme.

We are currently seeking a warm-hearted teacher with up to two years' experience for our Year One class. The position is a co-teaching role with an experienced teacher. Our dedicated Junior Syndicate Team will also support our new teacher, and we are well resourced to deliver an engaging curriculum. The ideal candidate will appreciate mindfulness practices, enjoy fostering a growth mindset in students, and inspire the students by bringing a sense of awe and wonder to the classroom.

Morning Tea and lunch is provided daily.
