Job summary

CARTERS Henderson is seeking a Customer Service Representative for the busy Yard team. The role involves picking and packing orders and operating a forklift to load products onto delivery trucks. You will report to the Yard Manager and deliver timely, professional, and safe service to customers.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a valid NZ Class 1 licence, forklift competency, and a proactive approach to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• NZ Class 1 driver's licence required.
• Forklift competency essential.
• People-focused with strong communication skills.
• Proficient with computer systems.
• Aware of health and safety legislation.
• Physically able to perform lifting tasks.
• Building industry knowledge is an advantage.
• F Endorsed Licence and OSH Certificate are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Spot hazards and help keep the branch safe.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and teammates.
• Fill and load customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Load trucks safely and ensure deliveries meet safety requirements.
• Scan and label stock correctly, and process dispatch paperwork.
• Unload supplier deliveries and check goods against documentation.
• Participate in cycle counts and stocktakes.

CARTERS Henderson has an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative to join their busy Yard team. This role involves picking and packing orders and operating a forklift to load product onto delivery trucks. Reporting to the Yard Manager, the ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and pride themselves on exceptional service and delivery to our customers in a timely, professional, and safe manner.

About the Role

• Spotting hazards and helping keep the branch a safe place to work
• Building great relationships with customers, suppliers and your teammates
• Filling and loading customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Loading trucks safely and ensuring deliveries meet legal and safety requirements
• Scanning and labelling stock correctly, and processing dispatch paperwork
• Unloading supplier deliveries and checking goods against documentation
• Getting stuck into cycle counts and stocktakes

About You

• Current full Class 1 New Zealand Driver's Licence
• Competency in operating a Forklift
• A real people person with a natural talent for building trust and rapport with our customers
• Proficient in navigating computer systems
• Proven awareness of health and safety legislation in this industry
• Physically fit for the occasional heavy lifting and manual handling
• Building industry knowledge is advantageous
• F Endorsed Licence and OSH Certificate
