Placemakers in Christchurch is hiring for a permanent full-time Yard and Drive Thru role. You will load and unload products, assist customers, pick and pack orders, and process transactions while keeping the yard tidy and inventory accurate.

You will work as part of a team, comply with health and safety procedures, and operate a forklift as needed. A Class 1 driving licence is essential, forklift experience is preferred, and a strong customer-focus is required.

• Full clean Class 1 driver licence is essential; forklift licence/experience preferred.
• Strong customer-first attitude and reliability.
• Experience in yard, warehouse, building supplies, trade, or customer service is advantageous.
• Commitment to working safely.
• Physically fit for manual handling tasks.

• Computer and numeracy knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Serve trade and retail customers in Yard and Drive Thru.
• Assist with product inquiries and loading goods safely.
• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately.
• Process customer orders and transactions.
• Maintain a well-organised, stocked yard and conduct stock counts.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and follow health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with teammates to keep the branch running smoothly.
• Operate a forklift.

Description

The Role:

You’ll be working in our Yard and Drive Thru area as part of the team serving customer, loading, and unloading products onto vehicles/trucks. Daily you will be responsible for –

• Providing outstanding service to trade and retail customers
• Assisting customers with product enquiries and loading goods safely
• Picking and preparing customer orders accurately
• Processing customer orders and transactions
• Maintaining a well-organised, fully stocked, and tidy yard
• Completing stock counts and ensuring inventory accuracy
• Always following health and safety procedures
• Working closely with your teammates to keep the branch running smoothly and efficiently
• Operating a Forklift

This is a permanent full-time role, offering 40 hours a week, Tuesday- Saturday.

About you:

You will play a lead role in ensuring our loyal customers are giving the upmost care and service. You will need to be a people person and someone who thrives in building rapport customers.

• Full clean class 1 driver licence is essential, and Forklift licence/Experience is preferred
