Job summary

Fletcher Building Limited’s PlaceMakers Clarence Street Hamilton is seeking a hands-on Yard & Drive Thru team member to help customers locate and load building products, manage stock movements and keep the yard safe and tidy.

You’ll work Monday to Friday 7am–5pm with occasional Saturdays, receive training, and have opportunities to develop forklift and warehouse skills while contributing to customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow directions and take initiative.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one).
• Basic building product knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with locating and loading building products.
• Safely loading/unloading trucks and securing product.
• Using yard systems to record product movements and support order processing.
• Restocking, picking orders, and maintaining stock levels.
• Keeping the yard clean, safe, and well-organised.
• Supporting continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
