Job summary

Fletcher Building Limited in Napier is seeking a hands-on Yard & Drive Thru team member to serve customers, load and unload products, and process orders. This permanent full-time role is 40 hours per week, with Monday to Friday shifts and every second Saturday morning.

You will work in our timber yard environment, use a forklift, and ensure accurate inventory; a neat, safety-focused approach and good numeracy are essential. Join a diverse, inclusive team at Fletcher Building.

Qualifications

• Clean Class 1 licence and forklift licence preferred.
• Warehousing or trade/product knowledge preferred.
• Physically fit with strong health and safety values.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

Job description

You’ll be working in our Yard and Drive Thru area as part of our team, serving customers, loading, and unloading products onto vehicles/trucks.

Daily you will be responsible for –

• Assisting our customers within our timber yard & Drive Thru department
• Loading of goods on to customer vehicles
• Processing customer orders and transactions
• Picking orders for delivery when needed
• Monitoring inventory, cycle counts
• Assisting as directed to ensure an efficient warehouse is maintained
• Operating a Forklift

This is a permanent full-time role, offering 40 hours a week. Working Monday to Friday and every second Saturday 8-12

About you:

You will play a lead role in ensuring our loyal customers are giving the upmost care and service. You will need to be a people person and someone who thrives in building rapport customers.

• Full clean class 1 driver licence and Forklift licence/Experience is preferred
• Trade/product knowledge or warehousing experience
• Physically fit and a solid health and safety values
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Great attention to detail and be organised
