Overview

The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is Singapore’s fourth university with a focus on design and multidisciplinary curriculum and research. Students collaborate in multidisciplinary teams for their assignments and Capstone projects. SUTD’s Centre for Writing and Rhetoric (CWR) offers English and communication programmes as part of the engineering and architecture degrees and within the Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences cluster.

Responsibilities
  • Teach specific writing and speaking skills in different disciplines
  • Provide relevant material to enhance (online) writing and presentation skills
  • Provide meaningful and timely feedback to students during consultation sessions
  • Administer tests and other assessment tools
  • Attend standardization and faculty meetings
Qualifications
  • M.A. in applied linguistics, English language, communication studies, linguistics

OR

  • PhD in an academic field (e.g. humanities and social sciences)
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in teaching general communication course and/or discipline-specific communication courses in engineering, humanities, and social sciences, at university level
