Crown Equipment Limited (NZ) in Hamilton–Waikato region is seeking an experienced Mechanical Service Technician to join our team. You will service a large fleet of forklifts, performing pre-delivery inspections and on-going maintenance to ensure peak performance across Battery Electric and Internal Combustion models.

Formación

• Experience with material handling equipment.
• Trade qualification in auto electrical, hydraulics, or motor mechanics is preferred.
• Customer-focused and team-oriented attitude required.

Responsabilidades

• Pre-delivery inspections on forklifts (Battery Electric and Internal Combustion).
• Perform maintenance and repairs on forklifts per SOPs.
• Service and repairs to customer-owned forklifts per OEM guidelines.
• Prepare rental forklifts to be ready for hire per service guidelines.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced mechanical Service Technician to join our team based in Hamilton and servicing the North Island. You will be part of a team performing pre-delivery inspections and occasionally maintenance and repairs on a large fleet of our Forklifts. We have both mechanical battery electric and internal combustion Forklifts with a significant number of different models within the two categories ensuring you have the opportunity to really develop and increase your skills.

What will you be doing?

• Pre-delivery of all new Forklifts across Battery Electric and Internal Combustion powered Forklift trucks.
• Performing repairs on mechanical battery electric and internal combustion Forklift trucks in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Undertaking service and repairs to customer owned Forklifts in line with the OEM guidelines
• Preparing Rental Forklifts "ready for hire" in line with the company service and maintenance guidelines.

Requirements

Ideally, we are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years' Material Handling Equipment experience or Auto Electrical, Battery Electric or Motor Mechanic trade qualification & experience, or hydraulics experience (or overseas equivalent qualification). To really shine in this role, you'll bring your customer-centric and solutions-focused attitude, as you support our valued customers with service they can trust. You'll work in a collaborative team environment, so being a team player and being prepared to support your team is essential. Being tech-savvy and an agile learner will stand you in good stead.
