Job summary

DIALOG Fitzroy Ltd in New Plymouth is seeking a Workshop Scheduler to plan and coordinate fabrication workshop and paint shop activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Reporting to the Taranaki Facilities & Mechanical Location Manager, you will optimise resources, monitor progress, and support planning and production meetings across busy workshops and paint shops.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in production scheduling within workshop/manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of fabrication, welding, machining, and industrial painting processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and scheduling software experience.
• Excellent organisational, prioritisation and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and cross-team coordination skills.
• Ability to manage changing priorities while maintaining delivery commitments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workshop and paint shop schedules to maximise productivity.
• Collaborate with procurement and stores to ensure material availability.
• Coordinate with project teams to manage schedules and provide progress updates.
• Maintain scheduling records and support planning meetings.
• Promote Lean Manufacturing practices and continuous improvement.
• Support health, safety and environment initiatives in scheduling activities.
