Job summary

6am Recruitment is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor for an Engineering Workshop in New Zealand. You will oversee scheduling, review drawings for potential production issues, and coordinate up to 15 jobs simultaneously to ensure on-time delivery of quality work.

The role requires welding and fabrication experience, strong team leadership, and the ability to read technical drawings to plan production sequences.

Qualifications

• Strong team leadership/ supervisory experience within production environments.
• Welding and fabrication experience essential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings to breakdown production sequences.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review workshop drawings and identify potential production issues.
• Schedule and plan production with up to 15 concurrent jobs.
• Lead and coach fabricators to improve performance.
• Train and develop direct reports to enhance leadership skills.
• Run regular toolbox meetings and promote health & safety.
• Induct new employees to the workshop and support Workshop Manager.
