Job summary

Crown Lift Trucks New Zealand is seeking an entry-level logistics assistant to coordinate day-to-day forklift deliveries and support the workshop team. You will locate the correct trucks, ensure accessories are correct and paperwork is prepared for dispatch.

When trucks return from site, you will process them for re-dispatch and help maintain a safe, tidy site while providing excellent service to customers and collaborating with transport drivers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with interest in logistics or mechanics.
• Mechanical or automotive background is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team and provide good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Physically check all upcoming deliveries of machines, ensuring the machines have been charged and are located in the dispatch area
• Check that all delivery dockets have been created and processed ready for invoicing
• Assist with "Off Hiring" processing when assets are returned to branch
• Assist with stock counts in all workshops and yard to ensure all assets are accounted for
• Provide a high level of customers service to both internal and external customers
• Assist the Transport drivers with unloading and loading equipment, if required
• Assist the Workshop Technicians with maintaining a safe and tidy worksite
• Provide any further assistance required

About The Role

In this truly hands on role, you'll be supporting the rentals & transport workshop team in coordinating the day-to-day deliveries of all forklifts and supporting the workshop team. This involves locating the correct trucks and ensuring all accessories are correct and accounted for, with all paperwork completed, ready for delivery. Then, when trucks are returned from site, they are processed ready to be dispatched again. You will also assist the workshop technicians in maintaining a safe and tidy site and in providing any other assistance the team may need. Your enthusiasm and energy and communication skills will be essential in this role as will your ability to work well with the team.

Requirements

• Full drivers license, with the ability to drive a manual PLUS a forklift license
• Strong communication skills and work well in a team

• Be confident with technology and learning new technical skills
