Job summary

Crown Lift Trucks New Zealand is seeking an entry-level Logistics Assistant to support the rentals and transport workshop team with day-to-day deliveries, locating trucks and ensuring accessories, and processing paperwork for dispatch.

You will help with stock checks, assist drivers and workshop technicians, maintain a safe site, and contribute to a collaborative team. A manual driving license and forklift license are required, with strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Physically check upcoming deliveries to ensure machines are charged and located in the dispatch area
• Verify delivery dockets are created and processed for invoicing
• Assist with off-hiring processing when assets are returned
• Assist with stock counts in workshops and yard to ensure assets are accounted for
• Provide high level of customer service to internal and external customers
• Assist transport drivers with unloading/loading equipment as required
• Assist workshop technicians to maintain a safe and tidy site
• Provide additional assistance as needed

About the role

In this truly hands on role, you'll be supporting the rentals & transport workshop team in coordinating the day-to-day deliveries of all forklifts and supporting the workshop team. This involves locating the correct trucks and ensuring all accessories are correct and accounted for, with all paperwork completed, ready for delivery. Then, when trucks are returned from site, they are processed ready to be dispatched again.You will also assist the workshop technicians in maintaining a safe and tidy site and in providing any other assistance the team may need.

Your enthusiasm and energy and communication skills will be essential in this role as well as your ability to work well with the team.

Key responsibilities

• Physically check all upcoming deliveries of machines, ensuring the machines have been charged and are located in the dispatch area
• Check that all delivery dockets have been created and processed ready for invoicing
• Assist with “Off Hiring” processing when assets are returned to branch
• Assist with stock counts in all workshops and yard to ensure all assets are accounted for
• Provide a high level of customers service to both internal and external customers
• Assist the Transport drivers with unloading and loading equipment, if required
• Assist the Workshop Technicians with maintaining a safe and tidy worksite
• Provide any further assistance required
