Qualifications

This is a key role in ensuring our workshop runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and support a team of technicians and apprentices, monitoring workloads and progress.
  • Train, mentor, and challenge the team to continuously improve their skills.
  • Carry out quality control checks during and after repairs, ensuring work exceeds customer expectations.
  • Support the Service Manager with workshop profitability, rework investigations, and approvals for additional costs.
  • Keep equipment maintained, workshop materials stocked and ensure open communication across the team.

Technical Knowledge

  • Stay up to date with vehicle servicing and repair standards.
  • Carry out diagnostics, servicing, adjustments, and repairs using service manuals and specialist tools.
  • Attend training and courses as required to keep your technical skills sharp.

Health, Safety & Environment

  • Promote a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
  • Lead toolbox meetings when required and proactively identify hazards.
  • Maintain workshop practices that minimise environmental impact.

Customer Service

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, customers, and the service team.
  • Focus on delivering quality workmanship, on time, every time.
  • Be proactive in resolving issues and keeping jobs on track.

What you'll bring

  • A clean NZ driver's licence (minimum Class 4).
