Te Whiwhinga mahi| The opportunity

As a Works Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our efforts to plan, manage and mitigate disruption due to work activities across Auckland's Road network. You'll support the development of integrated works schedules, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and help deliver clear, proactive communications to the public. Your work will directly contribute to smoother journeys and better outcomes for Aucklanders.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain an integrated forward works schedule of planned road network activities for focus areas.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective planning and disruption mitigation.
  • Support the development of tools and systems to represent planned works and detour routes.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to network disruption.
  • Provide high-quality service and reporting to internal and external customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of issues, risks, and decisions.
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • 3-4 years' demonstrated experience in project management/coordination and work scheduling in a construction, engineering or transport environment.
  • Experience with database and project management software.
  • Experience in collaborating and integrating with key partners (internal and external), having some level of influence over outcomes.
  • The ability to gather input from various sources and drive a decision-making process to achieve optimal outcomes for the situation at hand.
  • Demonstrated experience in use of Microsoft Office applications Excel, Word, Visio, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and SAP.
  • Someone who has a "can do" attitude in this very challenging space.
