WSP New Zealand invites you to join as Work Group Manager, Ground Engineering in Nelson. You will lead the Ground Engineering team to deliver high-quality outcomes, manage project delivery, and contribute to client service excellence.
Based in our Nelson office, you will build and sustain strong client relationships, identify opportunities to grow the service offering, and work with the Business Manager on regional plans. Relevant leadership and technical expertise are valued.

This is a newly created role in a growing team that blends leadership and technical components, giving you the best of both worlds. Based in our Nelson office, you will lead the Ground Engineering team to deliver high-quality project outcomes, strong commercial performance, and exceptional client service. You will be able to create an environment where people are supported to grow their careers, develop their capabilities, and contribute to a positive and high-performing team culture.
Also key to this role is building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to grow and diversify the Ground Engineering service offering, and working alongside the Business Manager to deliver the Nelson, and broader Upper South and Regional business plans and strategic objectives.
This role is in addition to a technical role, which will be aligned to your skills, experience, and professional expertise. Candidates may come from a ground engineering background, but this is not a requirement. Complementary areas of expertise such as project management, risk and resilience, environmental engineering, or other relevant disciplines will also be considered.
