The role requires knowledge of the local labour market, strong communication, and ability to travel within the region. A clean full New Zealand Driver Licence is required.

Qualifications

  • Proactively sourcing vacancies by cold calling, networking, and using your sales and marketing skills to uncover new opportunities for job seekers.
  • Profiling job seekers to match them with suitable roles, while building and maintaining professional relationships with both candidates and employers.
  • Working closely with Case Managers and other Service Centre staff to support clients in their employment journey.
  • Leading recruitment efforts for both seasonal and permanent roles, as well as engaging with industries to support recruitment and training programmes.
  • Providing tailored employment solutions that benefit both job seekers and employers.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, sales, or a similar role where relationship-building with employers is key.

As a Work Broker, you will play a crucial role in supporting people into employment by engaging with local employers and industries, identifying job opportunities and listing sustainable employment solutions for job seekers.

  • A focus on results with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, job placement targets and an ability to navigate setbacks.
  • Confidence in cold calling, networking, and using technology to source employment opportunities.
  • The ability to identify job opportunities and know what strategies to use to engage employers considering the local labour market.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to travel within the region to meet employers as required.
  • Please note - This role requires applicants to have a clean full New Zealand Driver Licence.

Salary | Utu-ā-tau: $79,200.00 - $95,873.00
