Job summary

Meridian Energy is seeking a Wind Service Technician to ensure quality service on our wind turbines at Te Āpiti site near Palmerston North. The role involves scheduled services and reactive maintenance on turbines, with safety as a priority.

You'll work with a team of Wind Maintenance Technicians, supported by a Team Lead and Site Owner, delivering on the maintenance plan covering electrical, hydraulic, and other mechanical systems. A current Driver's License is required.

Qualifications

• Role requires a registered electrician or EST qualification, with additional mechanical/hydraulic trade backgrounds being beneficial.
• Must be physically fit and able to climb up to 70 metres and lift up to 25 kg.
• You will work with a team to perform scheduled and reactive turbine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled services and reactive maintenance on turbines.
• Respond to reactive maintenance and monitoring.
• Work with Team Lead and Site Owner to deliver on maintenance plan including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment.
