Job summary

korowai is seeking qualified Health Improvement Practitioners to join the Whānau Pai team, delivering brief consultations and evidence-based behavioural interventions in GP clinics across the Hauraki or Thames/Coromandel regions.

Applicants must hold a current annual practicing certificate and be comfortable working within a kaupapa Māori framework, collaborating with wider Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki services to improve health equity for Māori whānau.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current annual practicing certificate as a registered professional.
• Experience delivering brief consultations and evidence-based behavioural interventions.
• Ability to work in a kaupapa Māori environment with whānau.
• Strong collaboration with general practice teams and health services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver brief consultations and evidence-based behavioural interventions to individuals, groups, and families.
• Support general practice teams and enhance capacity to respond to primary mental health concerns.
• Work with whānau in a four-world framework to advance health equity.
• Collaborate with Te Whatu Ora - Mental Health & Addiction and related services.
