Job summary

MITO New Zealand is seeking a proactive Training Advisor to support learners and their employers across the West Coast region. You will promote, implement, co-ordinate, and monitor training programs, providing pastoral care to ensure apprentices and employers succeed.

Based in Greymouth or Hokitika, the role requires regional travel with occasional stays away from home, including parts of the East Coast on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in case or account management and meeting the needs of clients.
• Must hold a relevant industry qualification.
• Exemplary communication and relationship building skills.
• An understanding of coaching and mentoring.
• A commitment to improving opportunities for people to access on-the-job training, including under‑represented groups.
• A commitment to equity and giving effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• The ability to work flexible hours.
• Excellent administrative, organisational, and computer skills.
