Job summary

MITO New Zealand is seeking a Training Advisor to support learners and employers through their training programmes in the South Canterbury / Mid Canterbury region. The role involves promoting, coordinating, and monitoring training arrangements while providing pastoral care to ensure apprentices and employers succeed.

The ideal candidate will have automotive industry knowledge or background, strong communication/relationship skills, and a commitment to equity and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in case or account management and meeting the needs of clients.
• Must hold a relevant industry qualification.
• Exemplary communication and relationship building skills.
• An understanding of coaching and mentoring.
• A commitment to improving opportunities for people to access on-the-job training, including under-represented groups.
• A commitment to equity and giving effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• The ability to work flexible hours.
• Excellent administrative, organisational, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote, implement, co-ordinate, and monitor training arrangements, providing pastoral care.
• Support learners and their employers through their training programmes in the South Canterbury / Mid Canterbury Region.
• Ensure apprentices and employers are equipped for success.
• Travel in the South and Mid Canterbury region is a requirement of the role.
