Job summary

Motion is seeking a hands-on welding specialist based in Mount Maunganui. The role involves TIG and purge welding on stainless-steel parts, reading engineering drawings, and maintaining safe, efficient workshop operation.

You will collaborate with manufacturing and distribution teams to process orders, weld components, test assemblies, and ensure quality while upholding OSH standards. The ideal candidate is trade-qualified with stainless TIG experience, has forklift and driving licenses, and

Qualifications

• Trade qualified with proven stainless steel TIG and purge welding experience.
• Basic lathe skills and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment; forklift license is advantageous; full and current driver’s license required for travel between branches.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; maintain professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with manufacturing and distribution teams to manage orders efficiently and provide customers with delivery updates.
• Receive, validate, and process customer orders accurately, with attention to details, ensuring compliance with welding processes and specs.
• Weld, assemble, and test hoses to customer specifications, maintaining testing records.
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment according to OSH requirements and company policy.
• Manage workshop stock levels and ensure timely servicing and repairs of equipment.
