Franklin Smith Limited is seeking multiple experienced Welders for construction-related welding and fabrication work across New Zealand. Candidates should have at least three years of full-time welding experience and a good attitude with solid references.

The role involves welding, cutting, shaping and finishing metal, with travel to various NZ regions as required. Permanent full-time, Monday to Friday, with some weekend shifts and relocation support where needed.

Looking for multiple experienced Welders who have a good attitude towards work and great references. You will be completing various welding and fabricating construction related material, pipe, structural steel erection, etc. The successful candidate will have at least three years of relevant full-time work experience.

About you:

The ideal candidate must be able to:

• Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines.
• Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering.
• Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision.
• Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions.
• Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiseling and grinding.

- Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in compliance with Franklin Smith policies and relevant legislation.

- Other duties as reasonably required within the capability of the employee’s role may also be required from time to time.

The ideal candidate will also have:

About the role:

• Minimum 30 hours of work per week
• Hourly wage ranging from $30.00 - $35.00
• Permanent role – Monday to Friday, with extra shifts available on weekends
• We have opportunities across various locations in New Zealand. As part of your employment, you may be required to travel to a different region within New Zealand for different projects, including Auckland, Manawatū-Whanganui, Marlborough, Waikato, Wellington, Otago, Nelson, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Northland, West Coast, Bay of Plenty, Canterbury, Gisborne, Southland.
• You will be given reasonable notice if you are required to relocate to another region. Franklin Smith will cover transportation and accommodation expenses related to the relocation.
