Job summary

Stellar Recruitment in Taranaki is assisting a busy engineering workshop to fill a Welder/Fabricator role. This hands-on position involves fabrication, repair and assembly of steel components in a fast-paced workshop environment.

You'll work from drawings, cut and prepare materials, and maintain high weld quality using MIG, TIG, SMAW and FCAW processes. Pipe welding is an advantage, and safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• Proven welder/fabricator experience in an engineering or heavy industrial environment.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, SMAW and FCAW welding processes.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication and assembly of structural and mechanical components.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Cutting, grinding, fitting and preparing materials.
• Workshop-based fabrication and repair work.
• Maintaining high-quality weld standards and workmanship.
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.
