Job summary

Presbyterian Support Central is seeking a part-time Laundry Worker for Huntleigh Home in Karori, Wellington. The role covers Friday to Sunday, 24 hours per week, 08:00–16:30, supporting residents with clean clothing and linen.

You will operate commercial laundry machines, maintain records related to residents’ laundry, and work both independently and as part of a caring team dedicated to older people’s wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in laundry or cleaning services is advantageous.
• Able to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to health, safety and good hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily laundry tasks and routines efficiently.
• Operate a range of commercial laundry machines and equipment.
• Complete washing, drying, ironing, folding and returning residents' clothing and linen.
• Work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.
