Overview

We are seeking a Weekend Cook to join our team at Tupu Ora - Residential Eating Disorders, for one weekend shift per week.

8 hours per week/16 hours per fortnight

Role is based in Parnell, close to transport links.

Opportunity

Tupu Ora is the Regional Eating Disorders Service. It is a regional specialist service providing assessment and treatment for adolescents and adults with eating disorders. Tupu Ora also provides consultation to and liaison with community services and hospitals in the Metro Auckland region as well as specialist support to Northland and the Midland region.

The Tupu Ora Eating Disorders Unit (TOEDU) is a nine-bedded unit. The unit provides an eating disorder intensive treatment programme for clients aged 15+ who have a diagnosis of an eating disorder AN, BN and/or EDNOS. Individualised treatment plans are constructed to meet the unique needs of the client including initial assessment, weight restoration, and stabilisation and harm reduction pathways.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare food according to the recipes and production schedules set by Dietitians and the Kitchen Coordinator
  • Ensure food safety standards are met at all times
  • Cleaning tasks and maintaining a clean work space as a key component of the role
Qualifications
  • Experience in food preparation
  • Experience working in food services for a healthcare provider is desirable
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Applications from Dietetics/Dietitian students are welcomed
